For hand-knotted rugs, my reweaving and reknotting services meticulously repair areas of loss or damage. This intricate process involves rebuilding the foundation (warp and weft) and then individually tying new knots, perfectly matching the original pile, color, and design. This ensures a seamless restoration that not only preserves the aesthetic beauty of your rug but also its structural integrity and historical value.

For flat woven rugs and kilims, my reweaving process addresses areas of damage by reconstructing the missing or compromised sections. This involves carefully rebuilding the warp and weft threads, with attention to replicating the original weave structure, tension, and color palette. The goal is to integrate the repair seamlessly, maintaining the rug's original appearance and the integrity of its flat, even surface.

Beyond reweaving, I also address a wide range of other common rug issues, including specialized repairs for selvedges and fringe ends, which often experience wear. I also have expertise in repairing hooked rugs and chain-stitch rugs, working to restore their unique texture and design. Regardless of the type of damage, I can find a suitable and effective solution for your rug.
